Terms of use
Last updated: November 1, 2026
1. Who these terms are for
These terms apply when you use the GED Free Android app (package gedpre.com) and the website gedfree.com ("GED Free", "we", "us"). By installing the app or using the website you agree to them. The privacy policy explains how we use personal information.
2. What GED Free is
GED Free helps you prepare for the four GED® subject tests (Mathematical Reasoning, Reasoning Through Language Arts, Science and Social Studies) with lessons, practice questions, practice tests, a formula sheet and a glossary, in English and Spanish.
- Our own questions. Lessons and questions are written by us. They are not official GED test questions, and our practice tests are not the official GED Ready® test. See the disclaimer.
- No guarantee of a pass. Good scores on our practice tests do not guarantee that you will pass the GED test.
- Translations into languages other than English and Spanish are automatic and only help you understand the text.
3. Using the content
You may use the app and website for your own, non-commercial learning, and teachers and adult education programs may use them with their students. Please do not copy, republish, sell, decompile or automatically extract our questions, explanations, illustrations, videos or code without our written permission, except where the law allows it.
4. Free use, ads and credits
- Free version. The website is free. The app is free to use and is paid for by ads (Google AdMob).
- Credits may be used in the app to open some features. You get starter credits once per device (reinstalling the app does not give them again; see the privacy policy), and you can earn more by choosing to watch an ad. Credits have no money value: they cannot be bought, cashed in, transferred or exchanged. They are stored only on your device and are lost if you clear the app's data or uninstall the app. We may change how many credits features use or how many an ad gives, and ads are not always available.
5. Premium purchase
- What you get. The "Premium" in-app purchase removes ads and unlocks the app's features without credits. It is a one-time payment, not a subscription, and never renews.
- Payment is handled only by Google Play under Google Play's terms. We never see your payment details. We check each purchase with Google; if Google reports it as refunded, canceled or not genuine, Premium is switched off again.
- Restoring. You can restore the purchase on another device signed in to the same Google account.
- Refunds are handled through Google Play's refund process. If something does not work as described, email us at info@gedfree.com and we will help.
6. Availability
We aim to keep the app and website running, but we cannot promise that online features (content updates, videos, ads, translation) will always be available. We may change or stop features, for example when the GED test changes.
7. Our responsibility
- GED Free is provided free of charge "as is". To the extent the law allows, we make no promises about the content beyond those in these terms, and we are not responsible for indirect losses or for the result of your GED test.
- Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be waived, or our liability where the law does not allow it to be limited.
- GED Free does not replace official information from GED Testing Service, your state's adult education office or a qualified teacher.
8. Changes
We may update these terms when the service or the law changes. We will show important changes in the app or on this page. The date at the top shows when they last changed.
9. Questions and disputes
If something is wrong, please contact us first at info@gedfree.com: most problems can be sorted out quickly. Nothing in these terms takes away the protection the consumer laws of the state where you live give you.
