App data and how to delete it

Last updated: November 1, 2026

GED Free has no user accounts, so there is no account to delete. Almost everything is stored only on your device, and you can delete it yourself at any time.

1. In the Android app

  1. Delete everything on the device: Android Settings → Apps → GED Free → Storage → Clear storage, or simply uninstall the app. This deletes your progress, scores, credits balance and settings.
  2. Ads and statistics: in the app's settings open Your Privacy Choices. There you can turn on "Do not sell or share my personal information" (non-personalized ads only), turn off "Usage statistics and crash reports" and, in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, change the consent you gave. In Android Settings → Privacy → Ads you can reset or delete your advertising ID.
  3. Starter credits record: our server keeps only a one-way hash of the device ID and the date (see the privacy policy). Email info@gedfree.com with the subject "Delete my data" and the Device code shown in the app under Your Privacy Choices, and we will delete the record within 30 days. The code is not linked to your name or Google account. Without it we cannot find your record, because we cannot tell which hash belongs to your device.
  4. Purchases are recorded by Google Play in your Google account; we do not keep them. See your Google Play order history.

3. Emails you sent us

If you have written to us, ask us at info@gedfree.com to delete your messages and we will do so, unless we must keep them by law.
